Advanced Placement German and College Credit

Big Walnut's Grading Policy for AP German
Grades for Advanced Placement German (AP) are weighted differently  with regards to grade point average.  Students who earn an 'A' in AP German earn 5 points towards their overall GPA. Students who earn a 'B' earn 4 points towards thier overall GPA.

National Test for Advanced Placement German
Students who take AP German take a national test at the end of the year.   Scores on the AP test range from 1-5 with 5 being the highest score.
Colleges and universities deal with AP scores differently.  Some colleges and universities look at a student's AP score in conjunction with the institution's German placement test in order to determine how much credit and or advanced placement students will receive.  Many colleges and universities grant credit or advanced placement for scores of '3' or higher.
